VISION STATEMENT

We desire to promote,
develop and enhance
the unity
that rightfully belongs
in the church family
of our Lord Jesus Christ.


Our Guidance
The Biblical Injunctions to Unity (NIV)

Psalm 133:1-3b "How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in UNITY,… for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore."

Ephesians 4:3-6 "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit - just as you were called to one hope when you were called - one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

1 Cor 13:4-7 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

James 5:7-9 "Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near. Don't grumble against each other, brothers, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!"

James 4:7-12 "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and He will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up. Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgement on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you - who are you to judge your neighbour?"

Ephesians 3:10-21 "His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to His eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory. For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom His whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."

John 17:20-23 "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in me and I am in You. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that You have sent me. I have given them the glory that You gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and You in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent me and have loved them even as You have loved me."


MISSION STATEMENT

Understanding that although we are from various backgrounds, ministering with different philosophies, doctrinal distinctives, and methods of function, we desire to be committed to "Unity in Diversity" through the

Nurture of our brothers and sisters, promoting each other's ministry, being conscious that we are interdependent members of the family of God. We therefore:

Invest our energies and resources in the function of the Church as a whole, promoting and sowing the truth of the gospel of our Lord Jesus into a society in need, impacting our Valley to the end of extending the Body of Christ, we;

Trust in and agree on the foundational truths of God's Word, annexed to this document, and believe that our Lord Jesus Christ, through God's Holy Spirit is building His Church in this Valley, on these truths taught in our individual denominational places of worship. We therefore;

Yield ourselves to our sovereign Lord, through the one faith in the one 'Word', recognizing that Jesus is the very cornerstone, essence and foundation of Life His church: He is the center of our worship and the cause of our mission.


THE DOCTRINAL BASIS FOR OUR UNITY

We believe:
… in the Christian Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, that they are divinely inspired, without error, entirely trustworthy, and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct…

… in one God, that He is eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that He is Holy, the Creator and Sustainer of all and that He loves all that He has made…

… in the Lord Jesus Christ, God come in the flesh, including His divine conception, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious atoning death as the payment for sin in the place of the sinner, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His work as mediator, and His personal return in power and glory to judge all people…

… in the salvation of lost and sinful people only by the death of the Lord Jesus Christ, through faith in this alone, and not through any deeds of ours…

…in the Holy Spirit, who brings new life in Christ, uniting believers in the body of Christ (the Church), and by whose presence within, the believer is enabled to live in a God-honoring way and to share personal faith in Jesus in both word and deed…

… in the purpose of God the Father to establish by His word and Spirit, various groups sharing this faith, who encourage and strengthen one another, and work together to spread God's message to the world…

… in the Resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to the resurrection of life, the lost to the resurrection of damnation…

… in the continuing relevance of the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ, to spread the message of salvation by word and deed, so that others may enter into this saving faith.
